Strawberry-Chocolate-Ginger-Cinnamon Smoothie

This one sounds like a complete mess, but it’s definitely one of my all time favorites.

The cinnamon and ginger give a little fire to to this cold refreshing smoothie. Perfect for anytime of the day and great for a recovery smoothie with added protein.

Ingredients:

makes 2 servings

2 cups of water, coconut water or non dairy milk

1/4-1/2 cup frozen strawberries

1 banana, fresh or frozen

1 TBSP candied ginger

a pinch of cinnamon

2 TBSP cocoa powder

several ice cubes

1 scoop of your favorite protein powder (chocolate or plain) *optional

Add all of the ingredients to your blender and blend until smooth.

OPTIONAL ADDITIONS: 1 TBSP ground flax meal,1 TBSP chia seeds, small chunk or turmeric root or 1 Tsp ground powder, 1 TBSP Udo’s oil or coconut oil.
